About youth cheerleading

Cheer Loud, Cheer Proud!

Join our youth cheerleading program, where every cheerleader learns valuable skills in a team environment, creating friendships and building confidence through spirited performances.

Cheerleading (Ages 5-12)

Our cheerleading program is a hybrid of sideline cheer and competition. The season is from Late July to early November.

At every football game, our squads focus on engaging the crowd and boosting team spirit. Athletes will learn chants, cheers, and stunts to support their teams and create an exciting atmosphere for all in attendance.

At the end of our season, our squads compete against other associations within the North Florida Youth Cheerleading Conference, showcasing their skills in an end-of-season routine.
This competition will be held October 26th at the Thrasher-Horne Center in Orange Park.

Registration Fees

Registration is $349 and includes,
- Shell
- Skirt
- Bow
- 2 OSA Cheer shirts
- Professional competition music
- Spring supported floor gym rentals before competition
- NFYCC Competition registration fee.

Cheer shoes and practice shorts are purchased on your own through the vendor of your choice.

Each squad may require individual or group fundraising to cover team get togethers, snacks, specially themed games etc. This is communicated to each squad at the beginning of the season by the Coach.

Our Staff

Here at OSA we are proud to be a 100% Volunteer based organization.
- Coaches volunteer their time to ensure that your children are well taken care of and properly trained to excel in this sport.
- Team parents ensure that the sidelines are prepped for halftime and water breaks. This allows coaches to focus on the game.

All staff on the sidelines, to include team parents, will be properly identified with a badge. This indicates that they have undergone Level 2 back ground checks and have completed all required safety training.

Parent Volunteer Requirement

In the spirit of our Volunteer culture, we do require that all parents also volunteer their time.

Parents are required to commit to a minimum of 4 hours volunteer time during the season per participating athlete.

This can be done by becoming a Coach, Team Parent or working the admission gate during our home football games.
This proves to be the easiest option because you don't have to undergo outside training.

Gate volunteer opportunities are available from 8 AM to 5 PM any Saturday that we are hosting games. These are assigned at the beginning of the season.
